Taawaki Inn

Designed by Smith Architects, Flagstaff, the 33,000 square foot hotel is located at the entry to Tuzigoot National Monument, just above the Verde River. The Taawaki Inn will feature a culturally significant and educational component, as the hotel will reflect the Hopi culture.

Hank Arens Designs, the project’s Interior Designer, has curated an array of Hopi art for the building’s interiors and guest rooms, such as woven belts, baskets, pottery, Kachina Dolls, large paintings, hand-painted tiles, and a stained-glass window, all created by Hopi artists. The first of its kind in the area, the Taawaki Inn will offer traditional Hopi cultural activities mixed in with modern amenities.

"House of the Sun"

Join us on a cinematic journey capturing the progress of Taawaki Inn!

As the General Contractor, we're honored to help bring the vision of the Hopi tribe to life. This isn't just another build— the design draws inspiration from traditional Hopi dwellings, blending them with modern amenities. The artwork throughout the hotel is authentic, created by local Hopi artisans who pour their history and spirit into each piece.

The sun is rising on something truly special!
